VISION
PARENT INVOLVEMENTActive parenting has a positive impact on a child’s academic and emotional involvement in school. I would like to adjust district culture on how it engages parents and meet their needs to find solutions. My hope is to increase parent involvement by analyzing and changing current district practices when messages are delivered.

SAFE SCHOOLS
Placing resources in programs that are going to divert any possible outcomes to unsafe schools. Some of these resources can be implemented through Ethnic Studies and self-esteem lessons. Inviting trusted community partners to help educate our parents and students will make this a more collaborative effort.

TRANSPARENCY
The unknown is not a good place to be especially when it involves our children, our future generation. Implementing effective communication between our board members, superintendent, unions, parents, and most importantly our children is vital to our ability to move forward. Every one component is important and accountability for each helps facilitate trust.
